As if Eminem, Usher, and Megan Thee Stallion weren’t impressive enough, it appears Beyoncé is anticipated to grace the stage at Kamala Harris’ rally in Houston on Friday evening (October 25).
According to NBC News, three insiders—one of whom has “direct insight on the arrangements”—have indicated that she will perform to bolster VP Harris as the nation gears up for the presidential elections. Although details about Beyoncé’s participation remain limited, the Democratic nominee is set to visit Texas to address the state’s six-week abortion prohibition.
As previously noted by Rap-Up, the musical superstar authorized the Harris-Walz campaign to incorporate her song “Freedom” into various rallies and promotional materials. Notably, the Oakland, CA icon made an entrance to the track back in July.
Certain fans have understandably expressed doubts regarding Beyoncé potentially appearing at Harris’ rally, particularly in light of rumors from August about the “VIRGO’S GROOVE” artist attending the concluding night of the Democratic National Convention.
“We never released information regarding Beyoncé. We denied every inquiry from the media—despite the fact that some personnel on my team didn’t believe me,” DNC executive producer Ricky Kirshner relayed to The Hollywood Reporter. “I kept receiving messages from news agencies asking, ‘When is Beyoncé showing up?’ But really, we have the most prominent star, the Democratic presidential nominee. Why would we overshadow that?”
While Beyoncé has not yet publicly backed Harris, her support would undoubtedly be a significant endorsement, rivaling that of Taylor Swift. Additional celebrities, including Lizzo, Lil Nas X, John Legend, Tina Knowles, Quavo, Halle Bailey, and Plies have already expressed their backing for the VP.
Chlöe, who is signed under Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment alongside her sister, encouraged Gen Z to actively participate in voting earlier this month. “For this generation, regardless of their choices, it is crucial to cast our votes and make our voices heard,” she stated to Glamour.
