Big Sean may not have announced any performance dates for his newest album, Better Me Than You, yet he continues to excite his fans with upcoming surprises. On Wednesday (Oct. 9), Amazon Music announced that the Detroit-born artist will be performing during “Amazon Music Live” on October 24.

Sean is slated to take the stage at 9 p.m. PT, accompanied by North Carolina A&T’s Blue and Gold Marching Band and the Fellowship Gospel Choir, celebrating the homecoming festivities. The “Amazon Music Live” event will also feature additional artists such as Jelly Roll, Halsey, and J Balvin, with further acts set to be unveiled soon.

This year, notable Hip Hop figures like Metro Boomin, Lil Durk, and Latto took center stage in the series. Amazon Music GM Ryan Redington explained, “We launched ‘Amazon Music Live’ to unite sports and music enthusiasts on Thursday evenings, creating an unmissable event that honors fresh music following the biggest game each week.”

Better Me Than You debuted on streaming platforms in late August and includes collaborations featuring artists like Gunna, Bryson Tiller, Charlie Wilson, Kodak Black, among others across 21 tracks. Sean pre-released some of the project through tracks like “Precision,” “Together Forever” featuring The Alchemist, and “Yes,” which came with a visual directed by Cole Bennett.

Sean revealed his intentions behind the LP, stating, “The message I wish to convey is the understanding that everyone faces challenges. At times those moments are beautiful, and at other times overwhelming. This project serves as a reminder that you face those obstacles because you are the one equipped to overcome them,” during a chat with XXL.
