Bill Maher is now facing legal trouble from one of Donald Trump‘s staunch supporters … as Laura Loomer is suing him for an astounding $150 million, following his claim on TV that she had a liaison with the former president.
Recent legal documents, acquired by TMZ, reveal that Loomer has listed Maher and HBO as defendants in her lawsuit, which was submitted in Sumter County, Florida, alleging that the “Real Time With Bill Maher” host tarnished her reputation during his HBO segment.

Loomer, a conservative investigative journalist and a close confidante of Trump, claims that Maher made “false, malicious, and defaming” remarks about her during his ‘Real Time’ episode aired on September 13, 2024.
In that episode, Maher remarked to his audience, “I suspect Laura Loomer is in an orchestrated relationship to influence the election, given her proximity to Trump. She’s 31 and fits his type. We did a segment here a while back contemplating, who is Trump allegedly seeing? Because it’s been this narrative for a long time that it is not nobody. He has a reputation as a womanizer, and it clearly isn’t Melania. I think we might have our answer now; it could very well be Laura Loomer.”
This allegation, unsurprisingly, did not bode well with Loomer, who insists in her lawsuit that she has never engaged in a romantic affair with Trump, underscoring that he is a married individual.
Moreover, Loomer asserts that Maher lacks any substantial evidence to substantiate his allegations and has no justification for propagating such a false narrative.
According to her, Maher merely fabricated this narrative to attract attention and gain infamy, also attempting to profit from his deceit, along with HBO, which she claims collaborated with him in this endeavor.
Just a week post Maher’s contentious remarks, Trump shared his thoughts on his Truth Social platform, labeling Bill as a “chaotic mess” and deeming his show “tedious,” among other disparaging comments.
As previously mentioned, Loomer is seeking over $150 million in compensation. It remains to be seen how the court will adjudicate this matter.
We have reached out to Maher for a response … but have yet to receive any feedback.
