Donald Trump appears to be impervious to the one thing Democrats are counting on to bring him down next month … according to Bill Maher, who elaborates on why an “October Surprise” is unlikely to assist Kamala Harris.
In a recent installment of ‘Real Time’, Bill provided a concise overview of the dramatic news typically surfacing just before Election Day, which has derailed a candidate’s presidential aspirations — but he quickly mentioned that such concerns do not apply to Trump.
This begs the question … how can anything about Trump be interpreted as startling when the public has become desensitized to his audacious remarks and actions? Incidents like the infamous “grab ’em by the p***y” tape and the events of January 6th have become commonplace, rendering surprises virtually impossible … that’s the theory Maher proposes, and it certainly holds weight.
Nevertheless, he doesn’t believe this implies that Vice President Harris lacks the potential to triumph — although, he does offer her some suggestions for success.
In fact, Bill openly shares his desire to see her in the Oval Office for various reasons. Sure, there’s that overarching “preserving democracy” narrative championed by the Democrats — but beyond that, Maher expresses that Harris’ victory is profoundly personal for him.
For his benefit, not hers … just wait and see.
