If a photographer from TMZ desires to step back into the role of Giancarlo Stanton‘s chauffeur during the World Series this weekend … then New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman is on board!
Charlie Cotton‘s inaugural experience as the champion’s driver took place nearly ten years ago … subsequent to Stanton missing a flight at LAX.

With ample time ahead, Cotton inquired if the then-Miami Marlins outfielder was up for a ride to TMZ’s headquarters … to host the “TMZ Sports” program.
To everyone’s surprise, Stanton eagerly accepted, and the pair hopped into Cotton’s old vehicle, enjoying a fun ride to Playa Vista. After a brief drive, Stanton arrived without any issues … and appeared to relish every moment.
As the baseball star returns to L.A. to compete against the Dodgers in the Fall Classic … Cotton simply had to approach Cashman on Thursday at LAX to see if he could have a second round with the power hitter — and BC unexpectedly granted his approval.
“You made sure he arrived safe and sound,” Cashman stated, “so why not?!”
As of now, no reunion between the two has been established — and truth be told, it’s quite unlikely one will transpire while the Yankees are vying for a title. However, if Stanton genuinely finds himself in need — Cashman noted, “If it was good enough for Big G, then I have no doubt he would be well taken care of.”
Five stars for Cotton … five stars!
