LeBron and Bronny James have made their way back to Cleveland for the Lakers’ match against the Cavaliers. The local team is taking a moment to honor the rookie and his legendary father, showcasing some memories from their visit to The Land!
The Cavaliers are well-known for showing affection to past athletes and coaches with connections to Ohio or the franchise itself… and with the James duo in town, there was no lack of nostalgic photos to choose from.
Of course, during the initial phase of Bron’s career, when he wore the Wine and Gold, young Bronny was merely a kid growing up in northeastern Ohio.
The rookie for the Lakers was commemorated with a nostalgic snapshot from the Cavs’ 2016 NBA Championship… at the time, he was just 15 years of age.
The exhibit also highlighted LeBron alongside the Larry O’Brien Trophy and Finals MVP honors… as well as D’Angelo Russell, an Ohio State alum, and Lakers assistant coach Scott Brooks, a former Cavs player.
While LeBron has returned to Cleveland numerous times to face the Cavs throughout the years… this will be Bronny’s inaugural visit. The 20-year-old is anticipated to receive some playing time in the contest.
Bronny last participated in the team’s home opening match against the Minnesota Timberwolves… where he and his father made history as the first father-son pair to grace the court during the NBA regular season.
It’s uncertain if the rest of the James family will be present in the arena Wednesday evening… but given the significance of the family to the community, it would not be shocking to receive an outpouring of affection from Cavaliers fans.
