Cardi B has regrettably canceled her performance at ONE Musicfest this weekend due to a health issue, as disclosed on Wednesday (Oct. 23) evening.
“I am heartbroken to deliver this information, but I’ve been hospitalized due to a medical crisis over the past few days, and I am unable to perform at ONE Musicfest,” she conveyed on social media. The artist behind “Bodak Yellow” expressed, “It truly saddens me that I won’t have the chance to see my fans this weekend, and I genuinely wish I could be there. Bardi Gang, I appreciate your understanding, and I will return stronger and better soon. Please don’t worry. Much love to all of you.”
The event organizers shared her message with the comment, “Let’s keep her in our thoughts for a swift recovery! We are actively searching for a replacement at this late hour. More updates coming soon.”
In the comments section of Cardi’s announcement, Taraji P. Henson emphasized, “Prioritize your well-being!” Celebrities including Kesha and Bobby Lytes, along with fans, also expressed their hopes for the Grammy winner’s quick recuperation.
Cardi was slated to headline the festival on Saturday (Oct. 26). Other performers scheduled include Ari Lennox, Gunna, Victoria Monét, GloRilla, Young Nudy, and Sexyy Red, among others. Celebrating its 15th anniversary, ONE Musicfest will unfold in Atlanta, GA from Oct. 26 to Oct. 27.
The mother of three went live on Instagram from her hospital room on Monday (Oct. 21) night following a prank call that prompted Child Protective Services to visit her home. “Not my residence, my secured mansion at 11 p.m. while my children are asleep due to an anonymous tip claiming that my kids are being abused and mistreated,” she expressed angrily.
The next day (Oct. 22), when a follower speculated about Offset’s involvement, Cardi asserted, “That [has] absolutely [nothing] to do [with] him.” She also made multiple barbs at her estranged partner through a series of tweets that have since been deleted.
