Cardi B marked her 32nd birthday on Friday (October 11) in the bustling streets of New York City. Hennessy Carolina Almánzar, collaborator FendiDa Rappa from “Point Me 2,” along with numerous other attendees joined the celebration, which featured unique cocktails such as Bardi in the City, Okurrr Cosmo, and the And Did-Rita.
On Sunday evening (October 13), the Grammy-winning artist took to her social media to share the backstory of her outfit for the evening. “Let me share a little about my daring dress. The outfit I originally planned to wear for my birthday turned out to be a tad too snug, and there wasn’t enough material,” she disclosed. “So, I hopped into a truck, headed to Staten Dolls Gentlemen’s Club, where I worked for four years, and purchased this little number because, baby, nothing was going to ruin this night.”
The artist continued, “I appreciate the fact that they don’t see me simply as Cardi B. They still treat me as Camilla. (Interesting fact: that was my stripping moniker).”
Cardi B’s background as a stripper is well-known, and at times has even led to controversy. In 2019, the “Up” sensation admitted that she would intoxicate and rob men who sought to pay her for sex.
“I had to say, ‘Oh yeah, you want to hook up? Sure, let’s go to this hotel,’ and I would drug these guys and take their money. That’s what I used to do,” she explained during an Instagram Live session.
In September, the Invasion of Privacy creator welcomed her third child — a baby girl — and made a standout appearance at Paris Fashion Week. She attended the Spring/Summer 2025 show by Paco Rabanne, followed by runway spectacles for Vivienne Westwood, Mugler, and Balmain.
On the music front, Cardi B’s recent solo projects include “Enough (Miami)” and “Like What (Freestyle),” the latter’s music video leading to a lawsuit for non-payment.
