Denzel Washington was visibly agitated, channeling his inner “Training Day” as he unleashed on a throng of paparazzi … and perhaps some autograph hunters … who evidently pushed him too far.
Take a look at the footage … the actor was all grins, snapping photos outside of NYC’s Museum of Modern Art on Wednesday — but it appears at least one individual from the overly enthusiastic crowd went too far … prompting Denzel to confront that individual … in what seemingly became a fiery exchange.
While the majority of the dialogue is inaudible, you can clearly hear Denzel cautioning them to calm down and show some patience and respect … suggesting they’d have the opportunity to see him later — or perhaps not, should their attitude not improve.
The motivation behind Denzel’s outburst remains unclear — he is typically composed and serene in person — but the entire interaction evoked memories of his legendary “King Kong” moment from the 2001 film, “Training Day.”
Regardless, you certainly do not want to be labeled as the fool who annoyed Denzel … especially right before he was about to celebrate his friend Samuel L. Jackson!
