Diddy asserts that he is the target of blatant character defamation by witnesses and their legal representatives in his federal criminal proceedings — and he argues it is hindering his ability to secure a fair trial.
In recent legal documents acquired by TMZ, Diddy articulates that he possesses a constitutional entitlement to a fair trial, yet believes that will not materialize unless his critics — specifically the numerous accusers alongside their attorneys — cease their chatter with the press.

As is known, Diddy was taken into custody back in September facing federal accusations of conspiracy in racketeering, forced sex trafficking, fraud or coercion, and transportation for prostitution purposes. If found guilty, he could face a potential life sentence.
In his Sunday motion, Diddy argues that the judiciary has a “responsibility to prevent the formation of a ‘carnival atmosphere’ in high-profile cases” — emphasizing that his own situation certainly qualifies.
Moreover, Diddy insists that the attorneys for the witnesses must silence the noise, referencing a guideline that prohibits legal counsel involved in criminal cases from making unauthorized comments “pertaining to the character or reputation of the accused.”
He remarks that it is well-known he has faced a barrage of incendiary remarks from witnesses and their lawyers to the press, which has severely impacted his reputation even before the trial commences.
Furthermore, he claims that several attorneys have made “outrageously biased and false accusations of sexual misconduct involving minors” to multiple media outlets.
Essentially, Diddy is requesting that the judge intervene to silence these individuals, ensuring he has a fair opportunity to prevail in the proceedings.
