Donald Trump is eager to collaborate with some of the most notable Congress members … describing Katie Britt as a “remarkably appealing” individual — before acknowledging her status as a U.S. Senator.
The 45th President of the United States attended a Fox News town hall in Georgia on Tuesday, where he addressed women’s concerns before an all-female audience … particularly discussing in vitro fertilization treatments — even dubbing himself “the father of IVF” in a notably audacious statement.
An audience member addressing DJT points out that abortion rights fall under state jurisdiction, not federal … and, she queries him if the same principle applies to IVF.
Trump quickly shares a story … referring to Katie Britt as a “young, just a remarkably appealing person from Alabama,” then mentions her senate role — almost as an afterthought.
He further states a judge halted IVF in Alabama, and Britt faced considerable criticism for it. Once she clarified the process to Trump, however, he says he promptly expressed his support … asserting that a potential administration of his would endorse IVF.
Trump referring to Britt’s attractiveness prior to her credentials in a gathering of female voters took many aback online — and, we must admit, it’s not the most favorable look for someone courting women voters.
If you missed it … the Alabama Supreme Court determined in February that embryos created via IVF are safeguarded under the Wrongful Death of a Minor Act — declaring these embryos as children. This decision has caused several IVF clinics in Alabama to stop operating.
It seems Trump is fully endorsing IVF now … though one can only hope Senator Britt’s appearance isn’t too distracting for him.
