Donald Trump is keen on collaborating with some of the most captivating figures in Congress … referring to Katie Britt as a “remarkably appealing” individual before acknowledging she serves as a U.S. Senator.
The 45th President made an appearance at a Fox News town hall in Georgia on Tuesday, where he engaged with an all-female audience on women’s issues … specifically discussing in vitro fertilization and even declaring himself “the father of IVF” in a notably audacious assertion.
A participant in the audience asked DJT about abortion rights and mentioned that these matters should fall under state authority, not the federal government … and inquired whether the same principle applies to IVF.
Trump swiftly delved into a story … portraying Kate Britt as a “young, extraordinarily appealing individual from Alabama,” then noted her role as a senator — somewhat of a passing remark.
He continues by stating that a judge halted IVF in Alabama, causing Britt to receive substantial backlash. However, once she clarified the procedure to Trump, he claims he instantly supported it … affirming that his future administration would endorse IVF.
Trump’s remarks about Britt’s appearance before acknowledging her credentials in a gathering of female voters left many stunned online — and it’s safe to say it isn’t the most favorable image for someone seeking support from female constituents.
In case you missed it … the Alabama Supreme Court decided in February that embryos created through IVF are afforded protection under the Wrongful Death of a Minor Act — deeming these embryos as children. This ruling has resulted in several IVF clinics in Alabama shutting down.
It appears Trump’s now fully supporting IVF … though one can only hope that Senator Britt’s physical appeal doesn’t prove too distracting for him.
