Donald Trump is recognized for expressing his views candidly. Following what many perceive as a setback in his debate against Vice President Kamala Harris, he has returned with some provocative remarks about Taylor Swift on his social media platform, Truth Social.
Immediately after the debate concluded, Swift released a detailed message endorsing Harris for the presidency in the upcoming 2024 election. In her statement, she expressed, “I was recently informed that an AI version of ‘me’ mistakenly endorsing Donald Trump’s candidacy was shared on his platform. It truly heightened my apprehensions regarding AI and the risks associated with the spread of false information. It led me to the realization that I must be very open about my true intentions as a voter in this election. The most straightforward method to counter misinformation is through the truth.”
The pop sensation went on, “I will be voting for Kamala Harris because she advocates for the rights and issues that I believe necessitate a champion. I regard her as a measured, talented leader, and I am confident that we can achieve so much more as a nation if we are guided by calmness rather than chaos. I was incredibly pleased and impressed by her choice of running mate [Tim Walz], who has championed LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s autonomy over her body for decades.”
Upon learning of her remarks, Trump informed Fox News, “It was merely a matter of time. She couldn’t […] possibly support Biden. Just take a look at Biden; you couldn’t back him.” He even went further, stating he is “not a fan of Taylor Swift.”
On his Truth Social app, he declared, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” in uppercase letters. His associate and longtime backer Elon Musk commented, “Alright Taylor … you triumph … I will have a child with you and protect your cats with my life.” Swift has not yet addressed either comment.
The acclaimed artist is celebrated for her collaborations with Post Malone, Kendrick Lamar, and her impressive discography that spans nearly two decades. Recently, she has become a significant figure in the NFL narrative due to her romance with podcast host and Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce.
