If there were a title for Father of the Year, LeBron James would undoubtedly be a leading contender for it. After successfully uniting with his son on the Los Angeles Lakers, he is poised to advance his 2024 campaign by championing his eldest child’s aspirations.
On Saturday (Oct. 12), LeBron tweeted, “Bronny just mentioned he wants his own ‘Skin.’ Activision, Call of Duty, let’s discuss.” Within a couple of hours, Call of Duty’s official Twitter responded, “We recognize Bronny is a sharpshooter, let’s converse. First father-son duo in NBA history. This could be a #CallOfDuty first as well.”
A multitude of fans applauded LeBron for going the extra mile to ensure his son’s happiness. One fan remarked, “This is so amusing, he can just conjure Bronny’s wishes as if he were a genie.” Another user elaborated, “When LeBron makes a call, things happen, no one wields this much influence man. I’m trembling just from reading this tweet, so assertive, so influential. He understands he possesses the connections and networks to accomplish whatever he wants, and justifiably so, as he has toiled immensely to reach his current stature.”
Bronny James has always been celebrated for his passion for basketball and gaming. The FaZe Clan member is about to elevate his game even further with a skin in Call of Duty. Artists like Offset, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Tee Grizzley, and Lil Durk are all recognized for their contributions to the gaming realm. Even rising stars like BigXthaPlug have established Twitch accounts that have captivated their followers.
The gaming culture has been instrumental in the rise of streamers such as Kai Cenat, Adin Ross, and others. What began as a simple viewing of gamers has evolved into countless entertainment pathways that reveal various facets of these contemporary creators.
Recently, LeBron and Savannah James garnered positive attention on social media for their gratitude towards the USC training staff featured in Netflix’s new docuseries, “Starting 5,” whom they attribute with potentially saving their son’s life after he experienced cardiac arrest during a pre-season practice in July 2023.
