GloRilla is confident that her debut album is nothing short of a masterpiece. The vibrant emcee from Memphis took to her X account to announce this after playing the album in its entirety. While her fans are eagerly anticipating her upcoming LP, there is a buzz of heightened expectations following her social media revelation.
In her post, she remarked, “Just listen to my album from start to finish & wowww I really believe I’ve crafted a classic.” One enthusiast responded, “Don’t stress about who drops the same day; just concentrate on elevating yourself to become an exceptional artist. We aren’t concerned about chart positions as long as the music is of GREAT QUALITY; THAT’S WHAT MATTERS. BUILD YOUR FANBASE.”
Another supporter noted, “You need to take it easy with the classic claims. But I’m sure it’s good.” The “Wanna Be” rapper recently gained attention online by inquiring why Rod Wave chose to release his album on the same day as hers. He graciously responded, giving her a shoutout with a picture of them together on his Instagram Story, letting his followers know she would also be launching a project.
GloRilla has experienced a remarkable resurgence over the past year. Following her stint as an opening act for Megan Thee Stallion’s sold-out “Hot Girl Summer Tour,” Big Glo has released a series of hit songs including “Yeah Glo,” “TGIF,” and “Wanna Be,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B on the remix.
Her debut album is set to be titled GLORIOUS. This church-inspired title reflects the Yo Gotti signee’s gospel background and her legal middle name, Hallelujah. It wouldn’t be surprising if the budding rap star included a gospel choir or faith-based track on her project. GLORIOUS is scheduled for release on Oct. 11.
Recently, she sparked conversation on social media with her humorous take on a fan’s mention of the upcoming presidential election, questioning why people were spending time listening to her instead of focusing on voting. Glo retorted, “[What the f**k]? How [did] I get involved in this?”
