On Monday (October 7), GloRilla disclosed the artists anticipated to feature on her highly anticipated debut album, GLORIOUS, which is set to be released on Friday (October 11).
The album will include collaborations with Latto, with whom the Memphis artist previously teamed on “FTCU,” along with contributions from Sexyy Red, Muni Long, Kirk Franklin, Kierra Sheard, Chandler Moore, Maverick City Music, BossMan Dlow, Fridayy, and T-Pain. Regular collaborator Megan Thee Stallion is also scheduled to reunite with GloRilla, continuing their partnership from tracks like “Wanna Be” and “Accent.”
As of the latest updates, the complete tracklist for GLORIOUS remains a secret. However, confirmed tracks include “Hollon” and “TGIF,” which has received praise from notable names such as Victoria Monét and Rihanna.
“This [is] an insane lineup, but I am confident the album [is going to] be fantastic,” one Instagram commenter expressed on GloRilla’s post. “It’s the gospel artists for me,” another user highlighted. A third commenter humorously remarked, “Kirk Franklin [is] channeling Mad Max from Shottas. Yeah, that track [is going to] be lit.”
GloRilla and Megan’s synergy isn’t new to fans, particularly from their time on the “Hot Girl Summer Tour.” The Houston rapper hinted at a potential collaborative project during her September cover story with Billboard. “I think that could be really fire,” she mentioned. “I won’t reveal too much, but it feels like it’s going to materialize.”
Meanwhile, in July, 42 Dugg stated that his CMG labelmate needs to collaborate with Red on “The Breakfast Club.” He shared with the hosts, “Sexyy should really create a mixtape with GloRilla. I was telling [Yo] Gotti, ‘They ought to do it while the opportunity is there.’ I’m not sure if they think that way. That’s how you genuinely make your mark.”
