GloRilla is an ardent admirer of Beyoncé. On Thursday (Oct. 17), during Angel Reese’s “Unapologetically Angel” podcast, the Memphis native unveiled her desire to feature the superstar on GLORIOUS (Deluxe), which still awaits an announcement for its release date.

“What collaboration are you dreaming of?” Reese inquired, to which GloRilla enthusiastically responded, “Beyoncé.” She then reminisced about encountering the Lemonade singer at Michael Rubin’s all-white gathering in The Hamptons on Independence Day: “I was tipsy, strolling around, and then I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder. When I turned around, it was Beyoncé.”

“She said, ‘Y’all come over here.’ I asked, ‘To your area?’ Her security was quite strict — they were deterred from letting us approach — but her family urged, ‘No, she said they can come.’ I was trembling,” GloRilla described. “I couldn’t contain it. Tears started to stream down my cheeks because I genuinely adore her that much.”

Regarding any ongoing talks about a joint project, the CMG star confessed, “We haven’t discussed that yet. I get so anxious whenever she’s around.” She later addressed the pop legend personally: “Beyoncé, I’m counting on you.”

GLORIOUS was released on Oct. 11 featuring an impressive array of collaborators. Latto and Sexyy Red joined forces for “PROCEDURE” and “WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME,” respectively. Additionally, “RAIN DOWN ON ME” showcased performances from Kirk Franklin, Maverick City Music, Kierra Sheard, and Chandler Moore.

Interestingly, the album was updated on Monday (Oct. 14) to incorporate the K Carbon-enhanced track “NEVER FIND.” Looking ahead, GloRilla shared with Reese, “I’m gearing up for [a] tour next year, and I may release some additional projects. For now, I’ll let GLORIOUS take its course.”

Initially, GloRilla had planned to set off on her solo tour for April’s Ehhthang Ehhthang. However, she ultimately joined Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer Tour” as a supporting performer.
