J. Cole’s new album The Fall Off isn’t here yet, but he dropped a new project to tie his fans over.

It’s called Inevitable, which is an audio series based on his entire career.

The Dreamville artist released the trailer yesterday and explained what the project is all about.

“First, me and Ib spent mad days talking to Scott, recapping the whole journey up to present day. Front to back,” Cole captioned the trailer. “It was new, it was fun, it was emotional and more than anything, it was therapeutic. After that Scott took the conversation and did his thing with it… then it was time to listen back.”

“When I heard it with fresh ears, I was glued to the story as if it was somebody else’s,” he continued. “At times I could feel my adrenaline rush when hearing about the ups and the many downs and how it all played out in the end.”

Inevitable is narrated by Cole, his manager Ibrahim Hamad, and filmmaker Scott Lazer.

The first episode of season one will be released today, November 18, at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
