All of the negativity towards Drake has been music to Joe Budden’s ears.

Whether or not he likes to confess it or not.

Joe stopped by the BagFuel podcast and defined why he believes Kendrick Lamar is correct about Drake not being part of the tradition. [Jump to one hour.]

“Tradition is the place Kendrick was shifting his dialog. How do you costume? Who’s your barber? Are you dad? Are you able to dance? Your slaps? What’s your hood? Did you could have a nickname rising up? Sh*t like that’s what Kendrick was leaning into to.”

He then spoke about issues he believes Drake has finished to sign that he is an outsider attempting to slot in, together with shopping for 2Pac’s ring and carrying Cam’ron’s pink mink on stage.

“Even when that’s not your intent, you gotta understand how that comes off,” he stated.

He added that he is undecided Drake even cares if others take into account him a part of the tradition.
