Kanye West has revealed his first solo album since DONDA, which debuted in 2021. The gifted musician disclosed this exciting news along with a sneak peek of an unreleased track titled “Beauty and the Beast.” Although the precise release date remains unknown, the album will be named Bully.
West is currently touring with Ty Dolla $ign, performing major shows throughout Asia and Europe. His official album announcement took place in China. Reflecting on the upcoming release, one fan quipped, “Never believe the phrases ‘Coming soon’ and ‘Kanye West Album’ in the same breath.” Another fan expressed enthusiasm over the conclusion of the “VULTURES Era.” Since the launch of VULTURES 2., neither Ye nor Ty Dolla $ign has commented on a potential third chapter of their collaboration.
As one of the most influential artists in music history, there will invariably be interest surrounding any new project he unveils. Despite his notorious struggle with sticking to release timelines, he did manage to release two distinct projects in the year to date. His recent mixtapes featured collaborations with stars like Lil Baby, Future, India Love, Kodak Black, Quavo, YG, among others.
While his latest works have positioned Ye more as an executive producer or curator, he was once celebrated for his captivating feature appearances. From his revolutionary verse on “Put On” by Young Jeezy to his unforgettable contribution on Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop” remix, tracks such as “American Boy” by Estelle helped elevate the lead artists’ careers significantly.
Recently, Ye paid tribute during his performance of the Graduation classic “I Wonder” to Drake and personal stylist Ian Connor at the Goyang Stadium show in South Korea. This followed a series of jibes aimed at the Canadian rap icon in the remix of the chart-topping track “Like That” featuring Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar.
While the exact release date for Ye’s latest album is still unknown, the previewed track has garnered favorable feedback. Many fans are claiming the return of the vintage Kanye after he shared a video on Instagram showcasing a sample he was working on.
