KARRAHBOOO has maintained a low profile since Lil Yachty made a stir on Instagram Live, asserting that he penned all of her lyrics and that she is no longer affiliated with his new label, Concrete Boys. On Friday evening (Sept. 13), KARRAHBOOO finally chose to voice her perspective regarding how bloggers, particularly DJ Akademiks, were portraying the public musical fallout.

The Atlanta artist took to Instagram Live to clarify, “I’ve been focusing on a significant amount of music, all on my own, no ghostwriter, Akademiks, with your lazy self. You’re irritating me because all you do is chatter endlessly, and it’s rarely accurate.”

She proceeded to express her frustration, stating, “You all genuinely don’t get anything, and you’re going to look foolish later. I don’t depend on a writer; I never have and never wanted to. I’m puzzled as to why someone writing for me on a track with five other guys is significant. My top hits, especially my solo tracks, are entirely my work.”

She concluded her statement by directly addressing Yachty, saying, “If that’s not true, prove it with your kid.” She also highlighted the challenges women face in a predominantly male industry and hinted at her inability to comment extensively on the situation for now. “I genuinely can’t wait to release my music and demonstrate my talent… I can’t wait to drop it, that’s for sure,” she stated, wrapping up the live session.

The conflict intensified when the founder of Concrete Boys claimed he had penned all her tracks, influenced her style, and alleged that she owed $900,000 to his label. He also lamented over purchasing her jewelry and expressed his disappointment regarding the state of their relationship.

KARRAHBOOO has received endorsements from numerous artists, including Veeze and Anycia, and is gearing up for a tour alongside Latto and Mariah The Scientist. Although she understandably feels frustrated, her supporters are eager to see her make a comeback. She has yet to release another solo project since the public fallout with the “Oprah’s Bank Account” rapper.
