Travis Kelce‘s former partner, Kayla Nicole, has shared her thoughts during a recent visit on Angel Reese‘s podcast. Despite the ensuing backlash, she mentioned that she remained unfazed by the negativity, though her mother felt “hurt” by the remarks circulating on social media.
The social media personality recently made news for discussing a variety of topics on the Chicago Sky athlete’s “Unapologetically Angel” show last week, covering everything from former relationships to the rumors surrounding her breakup with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, as well as the harassment from Taylor Swift admirers.

During a discussion on “I Am Athlete,” Kayla revealed that she might have altered some of her responses or opted not to comment at various moments to accurately represent her persona … but ultimately, she felt she navigated the situation with poise.
“I believe I addressed the queries to the best of my capacity,” Kayla expressed. “The audience had their interpretation of matters — which did not concern me.”
While Kayla appeared unconcerned about the discussions arising from the podcast, her mother was not as indifferent.
“My mother reaches out to me, though. And those dialogues … that’s what resonates with me because she’s offended. She’s hurt by the way individuals are viewing her daughter. The adverse headlines and how people twist the narrative have affected her. Even my mom suggested, ‘Perhaps next time, we should refrain from addressing those inquiries,’ and it’s as straightforward as that. No need to give it energy. Responding is not obligatory all the time.”
Kayla attributed the entire incident to her lack of media training … and is embracing it as an opportunity to learn.
It was an emotional dialogue with former NFL athletes Martellus Bennett and Brandon Marshall. At one moment, Kayla fought back tears as they shared their insights on media handling and the influence of having a platform.
