The highly anticipated season two of Netflix’s “Rhythm + Flow” has finally unveiled its premiere date. On Friday (Oct. 18), the streaming giant confirmed that the hip-hop competition series, returning to Atlanta for its sophomore season, will debut on Nov. 20.
In the newly released trailer, the judges Latto, DJ Khaled, and Ludacris expressed their aspirations for the artists competing against each other. “I’m searching for the complete package. I want someone who can thrive in this evolving landscape,” remarked the “Brokey” performer.
“I want to unearth something extraordinary,” added Khaled. Among the guest judges will be Big Sean, Remy Ma, Busta Rhymes, and GloRilla, to name a few. As Rap-Up previously indicated, Eminem is also anticipated to contribute during the “Battle Round” rounds.
“We’re elevating the excitement with a fresh lineup of international stars among our judges and a new array of budding talents,” stated Brandon Riegg, Netflix’s Vice President of Nonfiction Series, earlier this year. “Hip Hop is constantly evolving, so it’ll be exhilarating to witness Ludacris, Latto, and DJ Khaled guiding contestants through their journeys, as well as iconic guest judges like Eminem bestowing their invaluable insights and counsel.”
Executive producers Jesse Collins and Dionne Harmon remarked, “This season showcases a formidable panel of judges, each playing a unique and impactful role in Hip Hop culture. During this pivotal time for the genre, our focus expands beyond just music.”
The inaugural season of “Rhythm + Flow” launched in 2019 featuring Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and T.I. as judges, with “Last Supper” artist D Smoke ultimately claiming the $250,000 cash grand prize.
Latto’s Sugar Honey Iced Tea made waves in August with collaborations from Hunxho, Teezo Touchdown, Ciara, Mariah the Scientist, and others. Conversely, DJ Khaled is diligently preparing his forthcoming album, TIL NEXT TIME.
