LeBron James along with his son, Bronny, are facing a different type of legal challenge … TMZ Sports has reported that they have been sued concerning their supposed involvement in a car accident that occurred in 2022.
Documentation we’ve reviewed indicates that the lawsuit was lodged by two plaintiffs in Los Angeles County on Tuesday afternoon … merely hours ahead of when the father-son pair took the court together for the very first time in a regular season match during the Lakers’ season opener against Minnesota at Crypto.com Arena.
In the legal claim, April Almanza Lopez and Kiara Rae McGillen assert that they were traveling on a highway on November 13, 2022, in Littlerock, California … when they were reportedly struck by the Jameses.
Lopez and McGillen indicated in their statements that they suffered injuries necessitating additional medical care. They also claimed that the vehicle they were operating incurred damages and suffered a decline in value post-accident.
They are pursuing legal action against the two NBA icons seeking unspecified restitution.

We have contacted the attorney representing the plaintiffs for insights, but have yet to receive a response. Meanwhile, the Jameses have not publicly commented on the situation.
Notwithstanding the legal issue, the Jameses enjoyed an unforgettable Tuesday … they competed together for several moments in a thrilling 110-103 win over the Timberwolves — and subsequent to the victory, LeBron expressed on his Instagram that he would “NEVER FORGET THAT MOMENT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.”
