Liam Payne’s devastated partner, Kate Cassidy, expressed her sorrow in a poignant tribute to the departed star, disclosing that she and her “soulmate” were set to marry next year.
On Wednesday, Kate posted a series of photos on Instagram featuring moments with Liam, alongside a heartfelt caption. She reminisced about how, just weeks before, he had given her a letter, insisting she shouldn’t open it then — expressing his hopes to marry her within a year.
Kate penned, “Liam, I am aware we’ll always be intertwined, albeit not in the manner we envisioned. You’ll remain with me forever. I’ve gained a protective angel.”
In her extended tribute, she described him as the “most gentle spirit” with an “unforgettable zest for life,” expressing that she has lost the most precious part of herself.
Kate concluded her message with “444” — an “angel number” embodying a strong symbolism of love, encouragement, and direction. This clearly held significant meaning for her and Liam’s bond.
Just prior to his tragic accident from a hotel balcony in Argentina, Kate had been with Liam. As TMZ reported, she made the decision to return to Florida a few days before his passing, expressing a desire to be home after their 5-day vacation morphed into a two-week stay.
According to our earlier reports, the preliminary findings from Liam’s autopsy indicated a combination of substances, including what is referred to as “pink cocaine,” present in his system when he passed away. Tragically, Liam fell from the third floor of his room at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires on Wednesday, October 16.
