The authorities have taken Lil Durk into custody on charges related to a murder for hire scheme linked to the 2022 killing of Lul Pab, cousin of rapper Quando Rondo.

It’s reported that Durk dispatched five individuals to Los Angeles with the intention of eliminating Rondo as retaliation for the death of his close associate King Von, who was fatally shot by Rondo’s accomplice, Lul Tim, following a confrontation outside an Atlanta nightclub in 2020.

However, instead of reaching Rondo, the five assaulted Pab.

The group was apprehended mere hours before U.S. Marshals captured Durk.  He is currently confined at the Broward County Correctional Facility in Florida, pending his extradition to California for the federal charges against him.

The five assailants booked their flights to Los Angeles and their rental vehicle using a credit card linked to OTF, which is Lil Durk’s music label.

Additionally, authorities possess evidence tying Durk to the case from a wiretap surveillance operation targeting OTF Jam.

Individuals found guilty of first-degree murder in federal court might face the death penalty.

Recently, Lil Durk had sought help for substance abuse, embraced his Muslim beliefs, and announced his intention to step away from street life.

Unfortunately, such efforts appear to be too late to make a difference.
