Lil Durk attempted to escape the nation prior to being apprehended for a murder-for-hire plot concerning the demise of Quando Rondo’s relative, Lul Pab.
Federal Marshals intercepted Smurk yesterday evening en route to the Miami airport, where he had arranged a private flight to Italy set for 9 p.m.
Previously, he had made reservations for journeys to Dubai and Switzerland but failed to board those flights.
Just moments before Durk initiated his flight bookings, authorities detained five individuals whom they allege were hired by Durk to eliminate Rondo in retaliation for King Von’s death.
Connections between Durk and these individuals have been established through credit card transactions and wiretap evidence.
There is a possibility that law enforcement would have postponed his arrest if they hadn’t believed he was attempting to leave the country.
If found guilty, he may face capital punishment.
