Earlier this month, Kai Cenat paused his streaming activities to establish the Little Basketball Association (LBA), a playful league geared towards young people, as the title suggests. On the night of Monday (Sept. 30), the semi-finals featured Lil Yachty, who commented on the online star’s performance on the court.

“He’s not great. He’s not performing well, but we’re going to support him whether he succeeds or fails,” Yachty shared with sports commentator Autumn Johnson. “I find his creativity in content creation to be really refreshing. Critique all you want, but who else would have imagined this? I truly commend him for dedicating the effort and time to explore new ideas.”

The “Poland” artist also threw in some light-hearted jabs regarding Cenat breaking away from his usual format. “It took a significant amount of bravery, and judging by today’s game, he might want to rethink retirement because this isn’t looking like a promising path,” Yachty commented, before advising the New Yorker to practice his layups since “his shots aren’t landing.”

“The kids are going wild. Number 22 is having a blast. Number 12 [is] excelling. Number 18 [is] on fire, and most of them [are] outscoring Kai,” the QC rapper humorously added. “The youngsters are making him look foolish.”

In August, Cenat teased “SOD” for Yachty, although the Lil Boat creator was subsequently excluded from the Drake collaboration. Prior to that, he made various on-stream appearances at the AMP House, including a segment with his hip-hop group, Concrete Boys.

Yachty has recently been on an incredible feature spree. So far in 2024, he has partnered with YG for “STUPID,” Jean Dawson for “Die For Me,” and BIA for “PISSED OFF.” The XXL Freshman graduate was also featured on “Can’t Hold Me Down” alongside Lil Wayne and Kyle Richh as part of the Dullsville and the Doodleverse soundtrack.
