Madonna evokes the “Power of Saying Goodbye” by visiting the gravesite of her deceased brother, Christopher Ciccone, who passed away earlier this month.
Documenting her heartfelt visit to her brother’s grave, situated in their home state of Michigan, Madonna shared several touching photographs on her Instagram Stories on Friday.
The Material Girl made the journey to Christopher’s headstone alongside her daughter, Lourdes Leon, who joined her in what the superstar referred to as a “homecoming.”
Madonna and Lourdes donned elegant all-black outfits as they paid tribute to Christopher’s legacy, a mere three weeks following his passing at the age of 63.
Madonna honored her brother by placing a bouquet of red roses at the gravesite, while Levon Henry serenaded them with Duke Ellington’s classic, “Single Petal of a Rose” as a farewell tribute.

The renowned artist also paid a visit to her…
At her mother’s burial site – the namesake for the renowned singer – she reminisced about pleasant moments spent in Michigan.
As reported earlier by TMZ, Christopher passed away peacefully in the presence of his husband, Ray, along with other cherished individuals after a long fight against cancer.
Just days following his passing, Madonna took to social media, unveiling a collection of photographs featuring herself alongside Christopher… expressing her remembrance of her brother with “love and gratitude.”

This heartache followed another setback for the Ciccone family. Madonna’s stepmother, Joan Ciccone, passed away in September after enduring her own fierce struggle with cancer.
She was 81 years old.
