For those who thought otherwise, Nicki Minaj made it clear on Monday (October 14) that she is not taking a break.

“I ain’t going no motherf**kin’ where. Kiss my a** and hiatus,” the rapper from Queens stated in a post on X. “We don’t announce hiatuses, Barbz. Crack is whack. Just chill and let things unfold as they will.”

This statement followed remarks she made during a live session on Stationhead on Sunday (October 13). During that interaction, Minaj reflected on her “Pink Friday 2 World Tour” and responded to fan inquiries. “I am taking a bit of a break, but I have the Vogue project, which I am extremely proud and honored to undertake, along with a few other commitments, and then I’ll take some time to contemplate,” she noted at one point.

The “few other commitments” she mentioned might include the highly anticipated studio album, Pink Friday 3. Last month, she revealed that this album would act as a substitute for Pink Friday 2: Gag City Reloaded, originally set to drop on the 13th of September.

“I’ve decided to create an entirely new album,” she shared. “I will disclose the new release date in the coming weeks. The new material is simply too exceptional to waste on a deluxe version.”

On her choice not to augment the preceding album, Minaj articulated, “As this is my first album being [Papa Bear’s] mother, it holds a lot of significance for me for various reasons you might not know. I arranged each track with care… adding one or two songs is manageable, but [increasing it by] five to seven feels rather chaotic at this moment.”

The “Pink Friday 2 World Tour” concluded with its last performance in Queens, New York on October 11. Minaj featured Sexyy Red and Young M.A, while the opening acts were BIA and Tyga.
