The legendary MLB player Pete Rose is set to be memorialized in November, with his loved ones organizing a 14-hour visitation for admirers at the Cincinnati Reds’ Great American Ball Park.
The organization made the announcement on Thursday, revealing that the tribute will take place all day, from 7 AM to 9 PM, a nod to Charlie Hustle’s jersey number.
This event will be free of charge and accessible to the public, with the Reds encouraging fans to “join together, commemorate his remarkable legacy, and bid farewell.”
Following the public visitation, Rose’s family will conduct a private funeral service.
The Cincinnati Reds also announced that the Hit King will be honored during a game scheduled for May 14, 2025, which will be dubbed “Pete Rose Day.”
Rose’s family expressed their gratitude to his fans in the wake of his passing, stating, “We are profoundly touched by the immense love and support we have received from the people of Cincinnati, the entire baseball community, and fans worldwide as we grieve the loss of our dear dad, granddad, and brother, Pete Rose.”
As previously reported, Rose passed away in his Las Vegas residence on September 30.
The 17-time All-Star graced the fields for the Reds, Phillies, and Expos during his 24-year MLB journey, clinching three World Series titles and earning the Fall Classic MVP award in 1975.
Rest in peace.
