Rihanna and ASAP Rocky are the proud parents of two lovely little ones, RZA and Riot. However, as far as the world knows, the couple has not made their union official. This past Saturday (Oct. 11), the singer sparked speculation about a potential marriage by referencing the “wifehood-ish” preparations she is undertaking for the upcoming Halloween (Oct. 31).
During a launch gathering for Savage X Fenty’s Lavish Lace collection, Rihanna was questioned about her plans for the holiday. “Now that I have kids, I’ve gathered the courage to go trick-or-treating at strangers’ residences,” she disclosed. “I’m diving into the whole experience. I actually plan to learn how to bake cookies because I want to craft ghost-shaped cookies. If I manage that, I’ll feel accomplished for October.”
She continued, “It’s motherhood, wifehood-ish, just embracing the comforts of home — I enjoy it. I cherish being a homemaker… I want to infuse excitement and celebrate occasions. I’m working on establishing new traditions for the little family we have created.”
The video began circulating on social media, leading many to speculate that the couple might have already exchanged vows. “Did they secretly tie the knot? ‘Wifehood-ish’ seems like a hint,” remarked one person under The Neighborhood Talk’s repost. Another chimed in, “They seem like the type of pair that would be married already without making a public announcement.”
One more individual questioned, “They’re not married?! I would have believed otherwise! They appear to have a genuine partnership.”
Speaking of the upcoming holidays, RiRi shared with E! News, “Next up is Thanksgiving at my in-laws, as that’s not a tradition in Barbados. And Christmas is huge for us, so we’re going all out — doing all the traditions.”
In a conversation on Tuesday (Oct. 8) with W Magazine, Rocky elaborated on when he realized he and Rihanna were meant to be a family. “I recognized it from our younger days. I think both of us did. So it felt natural as we grew older,” shared the Harlem-born artist.
