Rihanna is a fantastic person to consult regarding Kendrick Lamar’s performance at Super Bowl LIX’s halftime show.
She took the stage in 2023 and teamed up with K Dot on his track “Loyalty.”
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Rihanna expressed nothing but positive sentiments about Lamar being selected for the halftime performance.
“Kendrick Lamar at the Super Bowl is like a diamond on a ring finger,” Rihanna exclaimed. “He’s an extraordinary artist, at the pinnacle of his craft. This past year was phenomenal for him. He really united a lot of people. It’s something to applaud … Kendrick Lamar is the one destined to take the stage right now. He’s going to absolutely amaze us. We should never underestimate him.”
It’s clear that Ri Ri is in Kendrick’s camp during his ongoing rivalry with Drake.
This is in part due to Drake throwing shade her way in his track “Fear of Heights,” where he remarked that their intimate encounters were merely average, despite having previously professed his affection for her multiple times.
