You simply cannot discuss the most exciting rappers in the industry without mentioning Rob49. Originating from New Orleans, this emerging talent possesses a diverse background that has influenced various sectors. After pursuing high school basketball and a brief stint in nursing education, he opted to conquer the music scene. Not only has he collaborated with some of the biggest names in rap at an impressive pace, but Rob49 also captures the attention of his female audience. A glance at his Instagram reveals that the women are enamored with this ambitious artist.

His unmistakable energy is evident in engaging tracks like “TOPIA TWINS” featuring Travis Scott and 21 Savage, “Wassam Baby” featuring Lil Wayne, and “BUSSIN” alongside Moneybagg Yo. The emcee’s charisma and confidence resonate far beyond the studio. Recently, at the 2024 REVOLT WORLD event, Rap-Up had the opportunity to chat with him exclusively about the legacy he hopes to leave, the new wave of Hip Hop artists taking the reins, his favorite female rappers, and the rewarding experiences that a music career has provided.

With a grin, he shared with Rap-Up that “transforming his family’s life” stands as his greatest joy thus far. “While it’s impossible to change everyone’s life, I’ve significantly impacted many lives, including my own,” he remarked, expressing genuine gratitude for his achievements.

He acknowledged numerous talented lyricists from his generation, noting the impressive work being done makes it tough to pinpoint who stands out. “Hunxho is making waves, BossMan Dlow, Skilla Baby, YTB Fatt… There’s just a plethora of talent,” he pointed out.

From the St. Louis phenomenon Sexyy Red to global sensation Cardi B, and Memphis powerhouse GloRilla, whom he collaborated with on the remix of “Mama”, Rob49 has been purposeful in applauding the top female artists in rap through impactful collaborations. So, who are his favorite female rappers? Besides those already mentioned, he admitted, “Honestly, Latto is fire and Flo Milli is incredible… Those are probably the only two I genuinely vibe with and think, ‘Wow, she’s really talented!’”

When questioned about what he wishes to be remembered for, he immediately highlighted that his mindset matters most to him. “Just my character. I stood by my principles. I was a man through it all. Because at the end of the day, music isn’t as crucial as my legacy and my reputation,” he expressed.

With a discography that is already substantial and a knack for infusing his distinctive flair into every track he joins, Rob49 demonstrates early signs of an illustrious career. Therefore, it came as no shock that the audience erupted in excitement when he took to the stage at the 2024 REVOLT WORLD.

Above all, it’s clear that this New Orleans talent aims to stay grounded and prioritize what truly counts for him—his family and, as he emphasizes, adhering to his principles above all. Stay tuned for more updates on this rising star.
