When discussing the most electrifying rappers making waves today, Rob49 is a name that cannot be overlooked. Originating from New Orleans, this emerging talent possesses a diverse skill set and a narrative that spans various sectors. After a stint in high school basketball and a brief endeavor in nursing studies at college, he made the pivotal choice to dive into the music industry. Not only has he swiftly collaborated with some of rap’s most illustrious figures, but Rob49 also keeps his female admirers captivated. A quick glance at his Instagram reveals that his ambitious spirit is a massive draw for his female fan base.

His unmistakable presence is felt in chart-topping tracks such as “TOPIA TWINS,” featuring Travis Scott and 21 Savage, as well as in “Wassam Baby” alongside Lil Wayne and “BUSSIN” with Moneybagg Yo. The energy and confidence he exudes are palpable both on and off stage. While attending the 2024 REVOLT WORLD event, Rap-Up had an exclusive conversation with him about his aspirations for his legacy, the new wave of artists lighting up Hip Hop, his favorite female rappers, and the rewarding aspects of his music career.

With a bright smile, he shared with Rap-Up that “transforming his family’s future” has been the most invaluable reward to date. “I can’t change everyone’s life, but I’ve been fortunate to impact a lot of lives, including my own,” he remarked, clearly appreciative of the achievements he’s attained.

Giving props to several contemporaries, he acknowledged the flourishing talent among his peers, stating, “There are so many artists excelling that it’s tough to name just a few. Hunxho is thriving, as is BossMan Dlow, Skilla Baby, YTB Fatt… the list goes on,” he admitted.

From the St. Louis star Sexyy Red to the global icon Cardi B and Memphis powerhouse GloRilla, who collaborated with him on the remix of “Mama”, Rob49 has consciously celebrated the leading women in rap through powerful collaborations. So, which female emcees hold a special place in his heart? Apart from those already mentioned, he shared, “Honestly, Latto and Flo Milli are phenomenal… They’re probably the only two that I vibe with consistently and think, ‘Wow, she’s incredible!’”

When queried about how he wishes to be remembered, he articulated with conviction that his mindset is paramount. “It’s all about my character. I’ve upheld my principles. I remained true to myself. Music takes a backseat for me compared to my legacy and my name,” he emphasized.

With a growing discography that showcases his distinctive flair on every track, Rob49 is already displaying signs of a bright future in the industry. Thus, it was no shock when he ignited the crowd during his appearance on the 2024 REVOLT WORLD stage.

Above all else, it’s clear that the talent from New Orleans wishes to stay grounded, focusing on what genuinely matters to him – family and, as he stated, adhering to his principles above all. Keep an eye out for more from this rising star.
