Saoirse Ronan certainly knows how to make an impact … stunning a predominantly male group of actors with her poignant commentary on violence directed at women.
The talented actress appeared alongside Denzel Washington, Paul Mescal, and Eddie Redmayne on the latest episode of ‘The Graham Norton Show,’ during which Ronan initially remained silent, attentively listening to the men’s discussions.
Redmayne particularly talked about his preparation for a physically intense role as a hitman in the miniseries, “The Day of the Jackal.”

Redmayne shared that he had figured out how to utilize a cell phone as a weapon in the event of an attack during one scene.
This sparked laughter from Mescal and Norton — the host of the show — as they joked about the absurdity of whipping out a phone in a life-threatening scenario.
Norton even mimicked the action of someone doing so, gesturing toward an imaginary assailant and asking, “Could you hold on for a moment?”
Redmayne conceded that using a phone might not be the best method of defense, prompting Ronan to suddenly engage in the discussion.
Ronan stated, “That’s something girls have to consider all the time,” and then turned to the women in the audience, asking, “Am I right, ladies?”
The crowd erupted into enthusiastic applause, leaving the male panelists utterly speechless.
You got them on that one, guys.
