Amid the ongoing tensions among female artists in Hip Hop, Sexyy Red appears to consistently express support for her colleagues. On the evening of Tuesday (Sept. 17), she invited Ice Spice to join her onstage during her New York performance of the “Sexyy Red 4 President Tour.”

“New York, what’s popping? How [are] we vibing tonight?” queried the Y2K! artist to the audience before transitioning into a performance of “Deli.” Below her post showcasing the event, fans eagerly commented about her iconic afro making a long-awaited return—she sported the look in the music video for her breakout hit, “Munch (Feelin’ U),” and in various other appearances.

“Yes, the afro is finally back! I adore your hair,” one commented. Another, which gathered over 1,400 likes, exclaimed, “Oh, Afro Spice [is] back?” Omeretta the Great chimed in, “Look at the crowd. Sexyy [is] really doing her thing!”

Additionally, fans encouraged the duo to collaborate on music, with Instagram users expressing sentiments ranging from “Nah, I’ve been anticipating this collab” to “A Sexyy Red [and] Ice Spice collaboration would feed families.”

As reported by Rap-Up in July, Sexyy Red came to the aid of Ice Spice after criticism arose online regarding her use of Ozempic. The Bronx sensation revealed her noticeably slimmer physique at Openair Frauenfeld in Switzerland, with the “Pound Town” star stating, “[Y’all] act like people can’t [be] stressed or not eat as much, and she still [looks] amazing, so next.”

Ice Spice countered the weight loss rumors by sharing her workout regimen the next month. “We’re beating those allegations, babe,” she captioned a video of herself exercising.

The “Sexyy Red 4 President Tour” is set to hit Philadelphia on Friday (Sept. 20), with additional stops in Tampa, Orlando, Birmingham, and Nashville. Kodak Black has been selected as the tour’s official co-headliner, accompanied by supporting acts Loe Shimmy, BlakeIANA, and Hunxho.
