Sexyy Red has consistently demonstrated that she remains unbothered by online remarks. On Thursday (Oct. 3), during an Instagram Live session, the artist behind “Pound Town” vocalized a comment that likened one of her companions to Finesse2Tymes.
“Who resembles Finesse?” Red queried the audience before playfully covering her mouth. A voice from the background chimed in with, “Why [do] they keep saying that?” Following that, another friend interjected: “Everyone put their face in front of the camera. Who the hell looks like Finesse? Nobody here looks like Finesse.”
The video clip circulated widely on social media, prompting numerous individuals to suggest that Red was deliberately mocking a member of her crew. “Beware of the ‘friends’ who find it too hilarious,” one comment read under The Neighborhood Talk’s repost. Another user stated, “[You] couldn’t pay me to read any disparaging remarks about my friends. That’s bizarre.”
The artist known as Hood Hottest Princess caught wind of the uproar and responded directly. “Man, we [are] from St. Louis. We [have] tough skin, and [we’ve] been [flaming] s**t. We’re not worried ‘bout [any of this]. The joke was amusing,” she noted in the comments. “[People] say I look like Young Thug all the time and we just laugh. We all still get [n**gas], so moving on.”
On the musical front, Red unveiled the visuals for “U Kno What To Do (UKWTD)” on Wednesday (Oct. 2). This marked her first solo venture since the May release of In Sexyy We Trust. The 14-track album featured collaborations from names like Drake, Mike WiLL Made-It, VonOff1700, and Lil Baby, alongside standout tracks such as “U My Everything” and “Get It Sexyy.”
The singer’s “Sexyy Red 4 President Tour,” which included Kodak Black as a special guest, officially wrapped up on Tuesday (Oct. 1). Throughout the tour, the Missouri artist showcased talents like Ice Spice and JT on stage.
