Sunny Hostin is calling out Donald Trump … after he failed to denounce a comedian’s derogatory comments about Puerto Rico made during his rally this past weekend.
In case you missed it … comedian Tony Hinchcliffe made an appearance at the GOP nominee’s rally at Madison Square Garden in NYC on Sunday, where he referred to the U.S. territory as “a floating island of garbage.” Trump has so far refrained from explicitly condemning these remarks and notably evaded addressing them when he took the stage hours later.

However, a senior adviser for the campaign mentioned that the “joke does not represent the views of President Trump.”
Thus, it was no shocker when Sunny, who is of Puerto Rican heritage, confronted the issue during Monday’s installment of “The View” … voicing her discontent with both the expressed opinions and President 45.
She remarked … “Puerto Rico is trash? We are Americans, Donald Trump. Americans. We voluntarily serve at disproportionately high rates in the military while you defer with bone spurs. And we cast our votes.”
As she elaborated, Sunny cautioned Trump and his campaign that Pennsylvania, a critical swing state, is home to “nearly half a million Puerto Ricans.” Additionally, significant numbers of Puerto Ricans reside in North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Nevada … with Sunny warning that they also vote in these pivotal regions.
Sunny didn’t hold back, further highlighting notable Puerto Rican figures — including Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, and Bad Bunny, among others — all of whom boast vast social media followings.
According to the television host, Trump should pay attention to her message, particularly “since you are so concerned about size.”
She emphasized … “We don’t appreciate what was uttered about Puerto Rico, and we are capable of getting rid of the trash, Donald Trump. It has been accumulating since 2016, and guess what? It’s you, Donald Trump.”
Sunny concluded her statement by urging her fellow Puerto Ricans to cast their votes on Nov. 5, dubbing it “trash collection day.”
