Taylor Swift surprised Dave Portnoy this past weekend with a heartfelt letter expressing her gratitude for his unwavering support.
Portnoy, who labels himself as the “king of the Swifties,” received the handwritten note from Taylor’s brother, Austin, who made a special delivery before Portnoy headed to the singer’s “Eras” tour concert in Miami on Saturday.

Thrilled by the gesture, Portnoy’s “BFFs” podcast showcased the letter on Instagram the following day, captioned, “What a treasure from @taylorswift to @stoolpresidente at last night’s Eras Tour.”
The outside of the pristine white envelope featured Taylor’s handwritten “Dave!” complete with a star next to his name. The reverse side bore a green wax seal showcasing her lucky number 13.

Within her note, Taylor expressed her joy about Dave attending her Saturday performance and thanked him “for being so steadfast, loyal, and for always having my back when many others didn’t.”
In undertaking that sincerity, Taylor seemed to reference the criticism she faced in September when she expressed her support for Kamala Harris over Donald Trump in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
During that period, Portnoy openly defended Taylor even though he had declared support for the former president Trump.
As the king of the Swifties people are asking me what I think of her Kamala endorsement. I don’t care at all. People can vote for whoever they want in this country. How somebody votes will never change my opinion of a person. I’m voting the other way but to each their own

It appears that Dave and Taylor are on a path toward a lasting friendship.
