Tory Lanez is launching a formal ethics complaint against his previous lawyer with the State Bar of California … asserting that she was not looking out for his best interests during her representation in the criminal case surrounding the Megan Thee Stallion incident!!!
TMZ Hip Hop has secured Tory’s complaint, where he claims his former counsel Shawn Holley abandoned him during challenging times in his criminal proceedings — but not before collecting a hefty sum!!!
The imprisoned “Say It” artist claims he engaged Holley to act on his behalf without being aware of her connections to Megan’s label, Roc Nation.

Tory points out that Hulu’s popular series “Reasonable Doubt” serves as a basis for her apparent conflict of interest. He mentions that Holley is one of the main producers of the show, which is loosely inspired by her experiences as a high-profile attorney.
Megan and Beyoncé‘s Grammy-winning collaboration “Savage (Remix)” appeared in the second season of the series, along with a track featuring Holley’s daughter Nayanna, who has previously provided backup vocals for Beyoncé.
Tory alleges that the CEO of Roc Nation, Desiree Perez, was permitted to aid Megan with her statements to law enforcement, and asserts that Holley abandoned him just days before he was found guilty … having collected between $200K-$300K for her services!!!
Tory contends that his choice to reject a guilty plea led Holley to neglect his defense, allegedly instructing his DNA expert to avoid thorough examinations of the firearm despite his insistence that he had never touched it.
Tory is convinced that Holley was acting under Roc Nation’s directives to compel him to accept a plea deal, and when that approach failed, she exited the case, claiming a witness accused her of bribery to influence her testimony on Tory’s behalf — a claim Tory insists is baseless.
He is now seeking disciplinary action from the California State Bar against Holley for the supposed ethical violations and demands the return of the funds he paid her.
Tory is likely facing a tough challenge … Holley has informed TMZ that she is familiar with these types of allegations from Tory, remarking, “Mr. Peterson submitted these unfounded claims to the State Bar over a year ago, which were promptly dismissed and the case was closed. His attempts to publicize this unsuccessful endeavor appear connected to the appeal of his criminal conviction, to which I extend my best wishes.”
