The announcement is here: Tyler, The Creator’s eighth studio project is on the horizon. On Thursday (Oct. 17), the artist behind “Yonkers” revealed that CHROMAKOPIA will launch on Oct. 28.

This upcoming album is created, produced, and arranged by Tyler himself, and it’s anticipated to feature “ST. CHROMA,” which listeners got a sneak peek of on Wednesday (Oct. 16). The striking black-and-white video depicted the rapper guiding a group of men into a container marked “CHROMAKOPIA,” just before it was detonated with everyone inside.

As per Daniel Caesar, who contributed his vocals to the song, there’s additional depth to it. “Very proud,” he communicated through Instagram, adding, “Can’t wait for everyone to experience the entire album.”

Along with the album cover, Tyler also provided a pre-save link to CHROMAKOPIA. The associated website, decorated in green and black themes, featured a map that is set to be “updated daily” along with various merchandise options. Fans can opt to buy hoodies, a special limited-edition CD, a poster, and a commemorative container emblazoned with the project’s name.

CHROMAKOPIA will be a successor to 2021’s CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST, which featured collaborations with YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Wayne, Teezo Touchdown, Brent Faiyaz, and many others. The album also clinched a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.

“When I mention CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST, I’m not referring to ‘I’m lost and don’t know what to do.’ I mean, when you reach out to me, I expect you to share what you’re up to, the things you’re engaged in,” Tyler explained regarding the album title during a tour performance. “I don’t want people calling me just to say, ‘Oh, I’m feeling down. I’m confused’ — that’s not what I want. Call me with updates on your successes, because I’m busy pursuing mine.”
