Tyler, The Creator appears to be embarking on the next chapter of his musical journey. On Wednesday (Oct. 16), the artist unveiled a sneak peek titled “ST. CHROMA.” The corresponding black-and-white visualizer showcases him guiding a group of individuals into a large container marked “CHROMAKOPIA.”

At the very conclusion, a hand triggers a detonation of the container, culminating in a substantial explosion while everyone remains within. Curiously, this is also the moment when the video transitions into vibrant colors. “CHROMAKOPIA” is likely the title of Tyler’s upcoming eighth studio album, hinted at by the video’s YouTube description, which simply states: “8.”

“Chill out, sit tight, that’s one mill’ for each will / Top ten, big deal, how the hell he pull that off? / What the hell do I look like? Get the hell out of your path / I’m reppin’ where I hail from, on the rock where they reside,” the California artist rapped in the singular verse. “15 cash for the new Ford, I’ve had stacks since 19 / I popped out like cha-ching, I reckon I’m a godd**n zealot.”

Daniel Caesar contributed the outro and subsequently alluded in an Instagram Story that more is on the horizon. “Did a few vocals on this. Super proud. Eager for you all to experience the full project,” he shared.

Tyler’s latest project, the 2021 album CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST, earned the GRAMMY for Best Rap Album at the 64th GRAMMY Awards. This 16-track collection features “WUSYANAME” with YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Ty Dolla Sign, the Brent Faiyaz-featured track “SWEET / I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE,” and more.

“Every line is genuine. I didn’t stretch the truth at all. Everything here is authentic and truly reflects my life. [This is] genuinely my most intimate album, so it’s dope that fans are connecting with it,” the designer and artist expressed on Twitter during its release.

In addition to his musical endeavors, Tyler and Converse launched the Darryl Chuck 70 in a range of 10 colors back in September.
