On Saturday (October 26), Tyler, The Creator unveiled “THOUGHT I WAS DEAD,” the third pre-launch single from his anticipated album, CHROMAKOPIA, which is set to release officially on Monday (October 28) at 6 a.m. ET.

Similar to the Ayo Edebiri-featured “NOID” and “ST. CHROMA,” this new piece debuted with another striking black-and-white visual. In this nearly two-minute composition, a masked Tyler is showcased dancing atop an aircraft with men in suits keeping watch.

“White boys are teasing this s**t, and y’all upset with me? Y’all can kiss my ass/ Dig up old tweets, dig up old t-shirts, all of that; I moonwalk over that b**ch,” the Golf Wang originator rapped in the song’s sole verse. These words seem to reference his prior remarks on “Mavericks with Mav Carter” regarding an unnamed “white kid” making fun of artists like Future and Gucci Mane.

In another part of this self-produced project, Tyler delivered, “I don’t engage in ‘Haha, kee-kee’ with these n**gas/ Loiter Squad, baby, I don’t mingle with these n**gas/ Same crew with me since long ago, way back.” Check out the music video below.

CHROMAKOPIA will be Tyler’s eighth studio offering, with Daniel Caesar confirmed as the only collaborator so far. The album has been entirely conceived, produced, and arranged by Tyler himself.

To promote this project, the “See You Again” creator will launch his “CHROMAKOPIA: THE WORLD TOUR,” featuring opening performances from Paris Texas and Lil Yachty. This tour is set to kick off in St. Paul, Minnesota, on February 4, 2025, before traveling to Los Angeles, Vancouver, Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, and Charlotte, among several other cities.

With general ticket sales set to start on November 1, fans can also expect to see Tyler in the U.K., Europe, and Australia. There is currently no information regarding shows in South America or Asia.
